My Definition
My understanding of the word skills is a basic talent or technique which is developed and learnt so its easier for you to do.
There are many skills that I use in media within the production process these are how to use the equipment safely and to ensure you get the best possible effect. Another skill is how to use the editing software and the different editing effects that are available.
There are 2 different main types of skills the first is called technical skills these are ones that we use and learn to apply to the care and use of production equipment, for instance learning how to set up a camera and use the tripod properly. The second group of skills is called personal learning and thinking skills, these skills involve learning Team work, creativity, independent enquiry, reflective learning, self manages, effective participator. In class we developed an acronym to help us remember these skills:
(In Elephant Town Chris The Rhino Spread Marmite on his Egg Plant)
